Quick Start

TopVault is designed to help you keep up with your collection and understand exactly what exists within the categories you collect. The quickest way to get value is to pick a collection type, learn the main tabs, and start browsing the database or adding what you already own.

First steps

  1. Open TopVault.
  2. Sign in or continue with the account flow available to you.
  3. Choose the collection type you want to work with, such as Pokémon Cards, Sports Cards, Dragon Ball TCGs, or Magic: The Gathering Cards.
  4. Start from the Home tab for summaries and shortcuts, or use Search to look up reference items directly.

If you do not want to create an account yet, you can still browse the full database. See The Database for details on what is available without signing in.

Choose a collection type

TopVault supports multiple collection types. You can switch between them at any time using the collection type selector at the top of most pages. Each collection type has its own database, goals, collection, and leaderboards.

Pokémon Cards is the most complete collection type and is a good starting point for learning the app.

Main areas you will use

  • Home: your profile dashboard, shortcuts to recent activity, transaction history, and bookmarks.
  • Goals: progress-oriented lists for tracking what you want to collect, set completion, and more.
  • Collection: the items you own and actively track.
  • Search: browse the full database of cards, products, series, and variants.
  • Scores: optional regional and global leaderboards comparing ranked goals.
  • Community: news, updates, collection trends, and supporting market context.
  • Scan / Add new: camera and photo-based workflows for adding items quickly.

For a detailed explanation of each tab, see Navigate the App.

A practical first session

If you are new to TopVault, a good first session looks like this:

  1. Pick your collection type using the selector.
  2. Search for something you own: type a card name in the Search tab and confirm it exists in the database. Open an item page and explore its edition, variant details, and related items.
  3. Add it to your collection: from the item detail page, add it as a collection entry.
  4. Create your first goal: go to the Goals tab, create a goal, and add a few items you are chasing.
  5. Browse a series or variant group: use Search to see how TopVault separates printings, editions, promos, and related entries.
  6. Browse Community: check updates, collection trends, and recent news when you want broader context.
