Photos and Privacy
TopVault includes photo-based workflows, but the app is designed so those workflows still respect user privacy expectations.
Why photos exist in the product
Photos can help power collection workflows, reference validation, and issue reporting. They make it easier to connect a real-world collectible to the correct information inside the app.
Device permissions still matter
If your device blocks camera or photo-library access, some TopVault features will be limited until that access is restored. When this happens, the app surfaces guidance instead of silently failing.
Photo upload keys
TopVault includes a user-facing flow for synchronizing photo upload keys across your devices. This is meant to keep photo-related workflows available where you need them while preserving the encryption model used for those uploads.
What this means in practice
- Photos are not treated as a casual public attachment feature.
- Access to camera and library features depends on your device permissions.
- Multi-device photo workflows may require key synchronization before uploads can be used everywhere.
